• My legitimate interests — such as running and improving my business, where this does not override your rights;
• Legal obligation — where the law requires me to process or keep certain information.

I will only send you marketing or promotional messages where you have given consent. You can withdraw that consent at any time:

• SMS: reply STOP to opt out.
• Email: use the unsubscribe link in any message, or email [email protected].

Withdrawing marketing consent won't affect messages I need to send you about an enquiry or transaction already in progress.

7. Who I share your information with

I do not sell your personal information. I share it only where necessary, with:

• Service providers (operators) who help me run my business — for example, my customer relationship management (CRM), email and SMS platform, and website and analytics providers. These providers process your information on my instruction and are required to keep it secure.
• Property and finance partners relevant to your enquiry — such as bond originators, banks, or conveyancing attorneys — where this is needed to help with your request and, where appropriate, with your knowledge.
• Authorities or advisors where I am legally required to disclose information, or to protect my legal rights.

Some of the service providers I use may store or process your information on servers located outside South Africa. Where this happens, I take reasonable steps to ensure your information is protected by a comparable level of safeguards, as required by section 72 of POPIA.

9. How I keep your information secure

I take reasonable, appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your personal information against loss, unauthorised access and misuse. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but I work to protect your information and to use service providers who do the same.

I keep your personal information only for as long as necessary for the purposes described in this policy, or for as long as the law requires me to. When information is no longer needed, I take steps to delete or de-identify it.

Cookies are small files placed on your device that help a website function and help me understand how the site is used. You can control or delete cookies through your browser settings. Disabling some cookies may affect how parts of the site work.

You have the right to:

• Ask what personal information I hold about you, and request access to it;
• Ask me to correct or update information that is inaccurate or out of date;
• Ask me to delete or destroy information where appropriate;

• Lodge a complaint with the Information Regulator.
